Beyond Divinity

Post by mammu »

Hi, Guys!
I posted a thread about Beyond Divinity on the RPG Forum (game kept asking for Key Code to begin game but I had the wrong disc in the drive). Now I can access the game but I can't get it to load so I can start playing. I get an Error Message that says Beyond Divinity has encountered an error and must close and then it does.
What is going on? I have a new computer that is designed to play these games (XP) and the latest more powerful drivers and plenty of space. To let you know, I had started playing this game on my old computer several months ago and had no problems but I had to uninstall it. Now I can't get beyond the Intro.
Please help.
Thanks.

OK, I give up.
I tried and tried last night to play this game and I was finally able to get past the Loading screen and start playing the game. Now, today, I wanted to play the game again and the game keeps crashing about halfway through the loading process and I get the Error Message again and again and again. Very frustrating. The information on the Error Report says the following when I pull the information to be sent - C:\DOCUME`1\Owner\LOCALS`1\Temp\259a_appcompat.txt. Does this mean that there is an error in this file and, if so, how do I correct it? I am not very computer literate so do not understand what is happening. How can I have played the game last night and now cannot even get into it today? I am soooo confused!!! Please reply as soon as you can so that I can continue playing. OK?
Thanks.

I vaguely remember having problems with BD initially...
The patch may have fixed that...which can be found here:

Hopefully that might help.
