the mesg i get

ok here is the exacet msg i get

oringinal disc could not be found or authenticated

and yes i do have the real disc in no emulator or burnt copy or other such thing

could this be either a problem with my disc or my dvd player( it plays movies and other disc's fine)

any help is welcome

p.s

ok i got it to work read all the files and reread over what it said when it was tring to update, basically what i had to do was download a critlcle file off of the bioware site cause for some reason it wouldn't do it on the nwn update button on the load screen where you get play,dm tolls etc so if anyone else has this prob this should fix it

just do the update it should give you an error saying a file is corrputed and give you an address just type the address in internet exploer or what ever you are usuing and it should bring you to a site to download what you will need to fix the problem after that is down loaded just run the program and you should be able to play from there

Hmm, this seemed to work for Elder Scrolls Oblivion, so it might work with this game.

Google "DVD Decryptor" and download. Pop in each disc and force the disc to copy onto your PC (should be pretty self explanitory with the program), and then go to where you saved your disc files. If there are any WinRAR files (such as Data.cab files) then extract them all.

Once you've done this, try installing. (I realize this may be a pain in the arse, but it is a possible soloution)

Have you tried it on another computer to see if it is the discs which are faulty or your installation?

You could also try to contact Bioware's support, I belive they have some sort of CD-exchange policy in case of damaged/faulty discs etc. But if the discs are faulty, I'd contact the vendor you bought them from first.
