okay... im mad... i have been reading thru the boards here for a while and just never had a will to post... but im doing the D-Quests... and im on the Clavicus Vile one.... well i previously killed Umbra in a random dungeon romp... and well ive had her sword for a while... anywho... i started the quest... and the dog bounced into my pouch... i stood there for a sec and it gave me the message that i got umbra and that i should go back and talk to the statue... well.. after another second the dog started talkin to me.. and i listened to what he had to say.. then activated the statue again.. after this i chose to give the sword back and get the mask so that i can ultimately do the last D-Quest for the skill book... anywho... i started to walk away after giving him the sword and my game froze... and every time that i load that save my game freezes... ALSO i tried to stop it by fast traveling.. and well it autosaved and then froze... thus droping my char back to a previous saved game that was A LOT less experienced...
does anyone know what i can do to get past the almost insta freeze? or what i can do??? any help will be GREATLY appreciated... thanks!

Ummm... well the answer to your question is on this very page of threads, its the one talking about the problems of a deadric quest, and I believe it's been properly answered.
And lo ye must learn of the great war that raged fo a couple of posts and brought the citadel momentaraly to its knees
