Mages quest - Bravil
Anyone know why I don't get the Beguile scroll when I start this quest? Kud-Ei doesn't say anything about a missing staff, and when I talk to Valmori I can't get any info about the staff no matter what his disposition is. I've gotten his disposition as high as 90 with no result.

You may have to look for a specific topic when talking to him that wasn't there originally.
This was apparent in the Anvil Mage Guild Quest so may also apply here - once the quest is obtained you talk about the topic more and recieve a little help in the form of a scroll.
If this doesn't fix it then I wouldn't be surprised that you can't go further with this quest and may have to resort to loading a previous save before starting the entire Bravil Mage Guild Quest.

I can't remember offhand if this was my trouble with a few other quests early on, but, if there's a "Scroll Handle" in the topics list, be sure to scroll down to see more topics to discuss. I was missing that little item for a while.
