Premium Mods - help!

Post by flounder »

Maybe someone can help me. I bought the original NWN (for the Mac) then got the Diamond pack as a gift. I was able to find an installation method for making the 2 expanion packs work off the Diamond DVD, but can't get the premium modules to go. I was able to extract all the necessary files on a PC and copy them over into the appropriate folders, but when I go to launch one of the premium modules, I get a message saying the module can't be authenticated, and I can only play the demo version. Any ideas?

You need to be logged into the Internet for the modules to be authenticated.

I was online.

I bought the Mac verion of NWN, then got the Diamond edition as a gift from someone who didn't understand that it was "for" Windows. I was just going to return it but was able to find a method for installing SOU and HOTU from the Diamond edition on my Mac, (For any Mac users out there that want to do it, post something here, it's really easy) as well as the premium mods. Anyway, for the premium mods you have to install them on a PC and copy the files over, because the necessary files are embedded inside an .exe file, and the Mac doesn't have any idea what an .exe file is. So all these are legit, purchased versions. I know I have all the files in the appropriate folders, but when I'm online and try to launch the premium mods it tells me they can't be authenticated and I can only play the demo version.

P.S. I don't think in a PC envrironment you have to be online to play the premium mods if you installed the Diamond edition. At least that's what I've found trying to find an answer to my own problem.
