tes extractor - help

tes extractor - help
to do any serious modding, i have to unpack the texture/mesh files, so i downloaded the extractor. then, i double click it to run. nothing happened. isn't a 'window' supposed to open because i thought it was a command-prompt interface. do i need something to run the extractor, or am i looking in the wrong spot, or is something conflicting with it? just confused, so any advise is appreciated.

well, i had to find the answer myself. and he answer was - duh, i had to run the windows command prompt.
