Silence spell - help needed

Post by Tricky »

Hiya.

I have no character atm capable of casting a silence spell. It takes a while to get there with a new character, so I was wondering if someone here with a suitable character could help me put something to the test. If you hit or kill someone, even inside a house, they'll call for the guards. I was wondering, if I cast a silence spell on them first, will they be unable to shout for assistence? :)

From what I was given to understand, the usual method of catching a tresspasser isn't someone in the house yelling for help, but someone outside either seeing you enter or leave. They don't have to be very close by, but if they see something suspicious, they alert the guards, who come quickly, looking for you.

But I wouldn't think Silence would make a difference. Assuming a person is yelling in a house and you cast that, neighbors who could hear it might hear, instead, the noise of an altercation. That in itself would constitute reason for suspicion.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
