Okay well im on this quest from the Thieves Guild and I got thru everything fine. The sewers, The arrow part. Now i was like running thru the palace area and I met up with the blind priest and they notice me and now It sayed for like the current quest part "I have escaped from the imperial palace and i jumped down a chimmy. I wonder if this is what the gray fox said I would need the boots of springheel Jak For?"
Before it sayed i had to get out of there because the priest our onto me.
So here is my problem. I do not have that scroll that i was trying to get and I cannot get into that part(Of the imperal palace) because where the arrow door is. Its locked now and I need a key but I do not have the key. When I go to grey fox all he says is "if you dont have the scroll then theres no need to talk" Or something like that.
So im stuck and do not know what to do anyone help? Do I just give it up did I mess up somewhere. I dont have the boots ethier when I fell from the chimy they like broke or something and disappeared. One more thing theres a red marker that leads to Grey FoX but when i talk to him nothing happens so I dunno. I cant load before the quest because I got no save from before I started the quest.
I think you will never be able to finish this quest now except by using the console commands, to "make" the scroll in your inventory & by setting the quest parameter of the scrolls to "acquired". No idea how to do that tho.
Seeing you don't have a safe from before you started the quest, I'd say you have a fairly big problem here. BUt maybe someone else will have a solution for you.
Perhaps a little late but may it have been an idea to place the elder scroll within the game utilizing the construction set? Asuming your problem consists of course.
Player: "Elves have strange powers."
Sten: "Being easily conquered does not constitute a 'power'."
