HotUL chapter 3, Sleepingman

Hi, I have awaken the sleepingman. He showed me the door to enter to get the ring. I read the walkthough after being beaten by this hug monster. But first I got to the three pedestals. Their was nothing there to take???? Do I have to beat eveything there before I can see anything in the pedestal or is this another bug. I upgraded a while back (last month), help and thanks.

uhm...Are you a Thief?

i never tried taking the pieces of the ring before slashing the monsters, but surely they are on pedestals after the battle.
