technical difficulties

Post by tpolvenl »

Hi! :)
I'm having huge trouble getting fallout 2 to install / run. I was wondering if anyone had same kind of problems?

So, when I start installing the game via setup the whole screen turns blue. It seems the game doesn't completely lock up though, as i'm able to install the game just by clicking enter a few times. The smallest install, i assume.
After this the game starts normally but after logos and movies etc (when the actual game is supposed to start) graphics are all messed up again.

Running on WinXP, sp2 installed. AMD 1400 cpu, Radeon 9200.

Could be the graphics adapter imo. Someone running with same card? Any trouble?

If you have original CD, say it in technical support or else.
If you have pirate, buy original :)

CD isn't a pirate. And I'm pretty sure the problem has nothing to do with the cd. Thanks anyway. :)

if you have upgraded your graphics card drivers, try to downgrade them
also, the problem could be related to the sp2, there are a few topics considering graphics problems here on the F2 section so you might try looking there as well :)
What do you want?

Yeah, I've looked through pretty much everything on the forum but nothing seems to work for me. I've also tried some 4 or 5 different drivers on my graphics card.
Gonna try rollback on directx, but after that I'm seriously getting out of ideas.
