Way more fun playing DS then LS
as the topic states i had FARRRRR! more fun playing dark side.. dark side the power is soo cool, dark sides powers are all about causing as much damage as u can to your enemies but light side is all about benefiting yourself and your team members... LS is n00b
what do u guys think... everyone if u can post a picture of your character... look how PWNAGE! my guy is

Hmm, your guy does look cool. But I don't think n00b is the word to describe lightside. I like lightside more than darkside. Darkside is just to easy, to many shortcuts where as lightside you need to do things the long way and you will have less money so it is harder.
Add l Skinflute l (Lower case L's) if you think you can beat me 1v1 snipers in Halo 2.

DS was a quick and some times easy way, I found Dantooine extremely hard playing DS my first time through, it was my first planet, Laigreks and Vrook were almost impossible. DS is harder at first, because all of the good force powers, death field and force storm, dont come till later on, where as light side has powers that are well balanced and useful through out, I found it easier to play through as LS, and had an equall amount of fun playing both, if you want us to see how 'pwnage' your char. is show us your stats not a picture of you on nar shadaa.
If God did not exist, it would be necessary to invent him.

Yes, Master Vrook was soo hard to take down!
And like you, I had also travelled to Dantooine first thinking I could get my saber. I wasn't able to fight him the first time. But I've found, if you're having trouble it's good to not travel to Dantoonine until you proceed further in your training and become either a Sith Assasin, Marauder or Sith Lord. Then it's a piece of cake.

I've heard this theory too.
The run, hide and plant mines method. I must vouch that it does work it you are in need, but you have to be very fast and have enough mines planted to take Vrook down first run. Or else he will heal and it would be a waste of effort.
This method is also very slow and I found it wasn't a very good approach.

Harder than DS. In fact, while playing the DS, I got royally bored. The only reason I played it through was to see any plot happenings that I may have missed before.LS is n00b
DS is only more powerful, if you play the game right. LS can use the powers too if they can handle the penalties dropped on them by using opposite alignment force powers. There is not a lot that the DS can use that the LS can't.
Heck, my character ended up weaker then it normally does whenever I play DS. DS was not as much fun as many had told me before...
It is not like LS has instant access to their strong powers either. All you need for DS is Force Storm and you can power play the rest of the game. Force wave is effective, but not as powerful, and most other LS powers work to power up your character instead of performing varying amounts of damage or inflicting fear on opponents, like the DS do.Phreddie wrote:DS was a quick and some times easy way, I found Dantooine extremely hard playing DS my first time through, it was my first planet, Laigreks and Vrook were almost impossible. Knowing the Mods' dislike of starting threads with similar subjects to old ones, I'll hijack this dormant thread to ask a related question:
How well balanced do you reackon KOTOR2 is? IN KOTOR1, DS gave definite benefits, in that you got a lot more XP and a lot more items, as well as some quests.
In KOTOR, do you reckon you would get more XP points if you played purely DS (ie doing as much as possible while never getting a single LS point for any reason) or purely LS. Or is it balanced? Has anyone here ever tried it out?

Hi
Erm... not to be rude but why is everyone posting here? Isn't there a related thread in the KOTOR 3 forums?

''They say truth is the first casualty of war. But who defines what's true? Truth is just a matter of perspective. The duty of every soldier is to protect the innocent, and sometimes that means preserving the lie of good and evil, that war isn't just natural selection played out on a grand scale. The only truth I found is that the world we live in is a giant tinderbox. All it takes...is someone to light the match" - Captain Price
