Error 1305 Installing Vampire - Bloodlines

Post by Zathrin »

I've recently tried to install Vampire the Masquerade - Bloodlines on my computer and I get an error message. The error is as follows:

Error 1305. Error reading from file C:\Program Files\Activision\Vampire - Bloodlines\Vampire\pack004.vpk.
Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.

I get this error at the very beginning of the first disc. I meet all and exceed the recommended system requirements and I have tried a registry cleanup, however I have not tried to install an older CD-Rom drive that does not have write protection like the newer models do.

Do you think that this procedure may work or is there anyway to bypass this problem without doing the latter. Actually, the registry cleaner that I used was only a trial version so I don't know if it fixed the problem.

Any suggestions that may help me find a solution to this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
