i know this is a stupid question but what is Pro Petrify like on the dark winged helm in the tomb of soul?

It's either a % chance that you won't get petrified if hit with a spell (gripping vines for example) or it reduces the duration. It would be hard to say which it does for sure but I would lean toward reduces duration. D

Pro Petrify isn't worth it

Protection from petrification isn't really worth it. If you get held, iced or petrified just enter your inventory until it wears off.

This is very true but they are changing the game with patch 1.4 so when you pause the game no more creatures will spawn. How much do you want to bet you won't be able to pause and unfreeze or un-petrify. This exploit might soon be a thing of the past. You might want to hang on to that helm till we find out. D

Even if they don't fix that, I've sometimes found it more useful to use a spell of unpetrify than wait out in my inventory screens. I find that sometimes messes up my momentum (especially if I've just frozen or pushed back a mob).
