Fallout 2 Trainer
Hi all
I recently downloaded a trainer so that i could alter my character stats and skills to the max.
But when ever i enter combat mode during the game the people i want to fight keep running away from me, even Frank Horrigan (the last boss of the game) started running away from me.
Anyone know how i can get rid of this?
Many thanks
Jon

Hmmm... can't remember hearing that problem before...
Before I make any guessing, few questions:
1) What trainer are you using?
2) What version of the game you have?
3) What did you exactly changed?

The Trainer that i am using is called Falche2 i downloaded it from http://www.nma-fallout.com.
i changed all my skills to the max which is 300% and all my personal stats to 10 which is the max.
I'm running the patched version of the game which is the 1.02version.

Hmmm... hvane't experienced anything like that myself, and I have used the same trainer numerious times...
What if you patch it with the unofficial 1.05 patch? Not sure, it could help
If i download the patch you said will i have to delete the 1.02 patch or overwrite it?
No, the installation of the 1.05 does that automatically.
But if you install it, your saved games will be useless, unless you download program that can convert the save-files. I think there is one in http://www.nma-fallout.com but I'm not sure. But still, installing 1.05 is very good idea, since it removes several major bugs, especially those with the car
Alright i'll give that i go later, but why is the 1.05 patch made unofficial?
Well, it seems like fans were more interesting in correcting some major bugs than BlackIsle...
Also, at which point did you alter your characters stats with Falche2?

The game does that because at 300% in all skills you're too much even for frank to kill you. If you ever try atacking someone under a certain number of levels from you they'll run away no matter which rage they roll against you. Also, the trainer you've used may be issuing that to help you.
Personally, I think that fallout is not easy but not hard too, and should be played vanilla, or with the in game build cheeses. But, of course, that's me.

Ive been doing a bit of experimenting with the cheat program here are the results:
1) If you alter your personal stats like Stregnth etc, People will not run away from you, If you alter your skills even to 300% people will not run away from you during combat, you can add perks to your character, you can upgrade your level and HP levels and people will not be afraid of you.
BUT!
2)If you upgrade your melee damage and resistance damage people will run away from you.
Thanks for the input lads
Jon

It doesn't matter if you have an attack power of 3 million jillion, or a damage resistance of 4 triple billion. The computer will still attack you until he's taken enough damage.
The only reason they're running away is because your armour class is unholy high, my guess is it's in the range of 300 or possibly 999. The way armour class roughly works is your armour class is applied negatively to the skill they're trying to hit you with, before they roll to hit you.
If they have small guns 70% and you have armour of 80, their skill or chance to hit you is -10%. For some reason the programmers have coded the enemies to run away if their chance to hit you is too low. It's the same if you cripple an enemy, their attack values drop too far past their threshold and they run away.
Solution, change your armour class to 1 - it doesn't matter if someone attacks you anyway since they can't hurt you.
I hope you all the wiser, fellow vault dwellers.

Hi i seem to be having the same problem as the other guys here. Does it matter where you downloaded the trainer?? I downloaded mine from this site and does'nt seem to work as it should be..

Fallout 2 trainer
You mean you have the same problem as Jono19872005?
What did you change with Falche?
Basically, if the problem is the one I think, it's safest to change only stats (Strength, Int, Con and so on...), skills and add perks. If you mess with damage restistances and armor class, the NPC most probably will run away.
And basically, the place where you did download the trainer shouldn't matter, unless the site has for some reason bugged or corrupted version of it. Safest place to download is http://www.nma-fallout.com if you aren't sure.
