360 Mods

Post by Phreddie »

With all the downloadable content that is out there for xbox games do u think it is possible that 360 players will be able to download mods?

There are no xbox mods for Morrowind, and there's very little downloadable content I'm aware of for any standard xbox-based games.

I doubt microsoft wants to reveal that their 'console' is nothing more then a glorified computer so i'd have to say no to downloading mods. As far as the save file thing, yes they should transfer over.

I think there were addons for Xbox for games like Halo, but those were, IIRC, official.

It could still be possible for micrsoft to set a forum/server/wahetevr (don know comp names for tings of this nature) that allows for content to be uplaoded to some place then downloaded onto your xbox through live, microsoft has announced that all xbox 360's r coming with free live (silver-means you cnat play online only download content) thatmakesit sound like to me that downloadable content will play a bigger role this time around.

The trouble is that the XBOX 360, however much it is like a PC (or rather, a Mac), simply isn't one. Which means that it would be harder to implement interface that came from the PC. Yes, I am aware that the PSP can surf the web, but I don't think anyone can say that it does so with even half the functionality available to a normal PC.

Yes, there will be official Mods but there will not be User Made Mods.

I read this in the Official Xbox 360 Release Mag. There was a little side bar that talked about Horse Armor and Holidays as Downloadable Content.

Also they have not mentioned anything about a Construction Set for the Xbox, only the PC. And since the PC is not compadible to X-box, no user mods.
