You can dash into the vale of ruin and drop off the vial of blood and then leave and go to the tomb of souls (after you return to Vartogg). There you can find a better weapon. Or you can go through the temple of Dreadoth in the Vale of ruin and there you will find a better weapon. Those are about your only choices. D
PS I would suggest you zip in to the vale drop off the vial of blood and finish your third tier class quest. Leave the vale and collect your promotion and spend your loot. Then go do dreadoth temple. You'll find a new weapon about midway through.

thanks dude

thanks a bunch for the info, im almost out of the naga temple and i heard somewhere that that place has lots of winter weapons and i have not found one  . my brother managed to kill a fire drake without one but he is a very high level rune/celestial/arcane mage and he can just cast ice ball on them. i noticed in a you made a treasure map in a different forum an ive had lots of trouble finding the underwater ones, i have level 10 athletics and i'm still only able to stay at the bottom of a lake for only about 10 seconds before i start losing my health. anyway thanks again and im sorry to hear your hand went bad, that must really stink. hope you have ''lotsa'' fun on DUNGEON SIEGE 2, good luck with evrything :D

When people say they got a winter weapon from the naga temple they either got lucky or they reopened weapons chest several times till they got one. To reopen chest you need to save before you open then reload, reopen. If you look at my treasure map #37 will give you a winter scepter which is as good as you would find in naga temple. Again you'll have to save, reload, and reopen to be sure to get one.
Contrary to what the game manual says athletics doesn't increase the amount of time you can stay underwater. I think the only way to improve your chances to open an underwater chest is practice. Save while treading water above a chest then try and try again. Be sure to have your heal potions in your fast menu. Potions are better then heal spells because they don't interrupt your swimming.
Thanks for asking about my hand. It is about 80% now. I'm playing 'morrowind'. I wish DL and morrowind could be combined in to one game. The look and feel of DL with the complexities of morrowind, that would be a great game. D
