The one thing i find on SWKOTOR 1 that really annoys me is that you cant find the robes that the wear in the films.

What your opinion?

Well it is 4000 years before the films so maybe they had a change in the dress code :p . Anyways in Kotor 2 they have actual robes that are from the movie.

Depends which films you're talking about - the ones Obi Wan Kenobi wears in the first three films (i.e., I, II, III) are very different to the ones Alec Guiness sports in the last three (IV, V, VI), not to mention Anakin Skywalker's and then even Luke Skywalker's in ROTJ.

But yes, the robes do look a bit... interesting. Perhaps they're meant to reflect the role of the Jedi of that period in the Star Wars galaxy, i.e. respected individuals who aid in the policing and running of sectors, so they'd look something like an official uniform. Although, I'd hazard a guess that the transition between KOTOR I and II - seen notably in Master Vrook - is in part due to the Jedi Order going 'underground' as such.

True, this could be justification and rationalisation, but seeing as no answer has been forthcoming from Lucasarts/Bioware or Obsidian, I'm willing to speclulate. :D

Actually, the idea of them being more uniform-ish seems pretty sound to me. It seems to sort of highlight the individual features a bit, other than the dark jedi who seem to be saddled with those bandit masks, of course. :p

Still, if you're playing a darksider, there's something menacing about that hood draped over your head, hiding most of your features.. Maybe that would be worth finding a mod for.
