Spoiler: (Highlight to read).

Take the blaster to Lt Grenn (in the TSF station), and he will tell you about the smuggling problem on Telos station. Take the blaster to Samhan Dobo (one of the two Duros merchants next to the cantina) and ask him to look at it. You can then work for him for credits and DS points, or go to Grenn for LS points.
LucasArts in interview with GameSpy, September 2004
"We were hoping we could bring the Xbox platform into December but didn't want to make the formal announcement until we knew an earlier ship date would not compromise the quality of The Sith Lords," says Producer Mike Gallo.

Actually the LS quest is broken at that point. I msged Bioware about it but I haven't heard back.

I have never had any problem getting Samhan banged up for smuggling on the LS path. What happens to you when you try?

And why would you contact BioWare? Apart from providing the game engine technology from the original game to Obsidian Entertainment, they have had no part in developing the game.
