QUEST HELP PLZ - items dissapear???

for some reason when i travel on foot from town to town...
eg: left tarant with twin skulls in inventory but upon reaching delmolm (whatever) skull had dissapeared???
same thing happened with praeors taxes

anyone know whats happening???

Are you patched? Your version should be 1074.
