Word Text Files
after fomating the drive i have recovered every text file i need but its all filled with strange signs instead of letters(sqares and stuff ).seems it has been damaged during recovering and so im asking is there any way to fix this? maybe debuging...or it has something to do with encoding?

format
Formatting does not delete items on the hard drive. All programs and files are renamed so some other install can write over them. So all programs can be recovered for use. Some programs and files are compressed and what you saw was probably a compressed file. If you really want to clean a hard drive run fdisk before reformatting and most files will not be recoverable without custom hacking.
If your installing window xp don't format the hard drive. Just put in the CD and reboot. Windows will install just answer prompts.

When you format, it is supposed to get rid of everything, so you really should have backed up first. Becuase, I doubt there is much you can do. If you have tried a data back program and that didn't work, well I think they are as good as gone.
