Forbidden Lands, Tree Totem and Naga Temple

Post by Bixby »

Greetings all,

I hate to have to ask for help, as I have here so many times before, but I'm stuck in the Forbidden Lands looking for Naga Temple. I've got a map with marked points of interest that some kind gamer posted to this site, so I know where the Naga Temple is in the Forbidden Lands, but no idea how to navigate there, since there's no in-game map, and so I never know where I am.

Right now I'm Saved in Warglaw's camp (something about the Totem Tree?). On the map I have, where I think I am is marked "TT" (Tree Totem). Anybody know if that's where I am? I think I'm about as far south as you can go in the Forbidden Lands (while I'm here, how can I complete this Tree Totem mission?). I met some speaking rocks, too, somewhere (no idea where), but didn't have the "magic word" to pass.

The easiest way to go there is as follows.
- Leave skuldoon through the south gate
- On the first intersection go right
- Walk to the end of the path (swamp starts here)
- Go North a bit and keep the mountains to your right hand.
You'll eventually veer south towards the temple.

You can only buy the tree totem after talking to Staroxia. Once you have the tree totem, you'll have to go way north into the Northern Steppes to use it.

I think I use the same strategy as BadBreath when I move around the map. I follow the roads as much as possible, and then I travel along the edge of the mountains to get to where I need to go. But I still manage to get lost sometimes, especially in the Vale of Ruin.

Btw, I'm not sure how much this will help, but the walkthrough contains a map of the Forbidden Lands now.

Ok, thanks for the help! I guess I'll just keep going north for now, since I have no idea where I am anymore in the Forbidden Lands, and hopefully will get to a landmark where I can start to use your advice.
