The crashed airship

Post by Baronation »

I'm having a spot of bother getting all the parts for the crashed airship, I have everthing I need except the two diamonds. I can only find the one that is located on Oswalds crashed ship.

Is there another diamond located on this level? The walkthrough only mentions the one diamond.

Is getting the airpship repaired an essential part of the game or can I leave it and head off to the next level?

1) There are, but I can't remember off the top of my head. IIRC, there are a few places you can get them.

2) Yes, but you have two options: Highlight below for a spoiler
- Either repair the airship yourself by placing the spellbook and the components on the table that you originally found the book, or
- Give the components and the book to Nathaniel once you save him and the others in the Ice Temple

Either way, the ship will be repaired (having taken off) once the Ice Temple has been cleared (and the ice wall being destroyed), and you won't see Oswald again until the end of Chapter 4. So, I'd make sure that the gnome finishes making all the items you want him to make (yeti/Winter Wolf hide gear, beetle-shell armor) before you finish the chapter.

I think you can proceed to the Temple if you want, find the 2nd diamond there and either go back to Oswald to place it on his table or give it to Nate in the Temple Prison.

IIRC you can find the diamond somewhere in the Temple.

.

AFAIK you can even find some in the chapters before!

I would try to find the 2nd one (there should be also one in the ice-temple) and finish the ship repair quest as you get quite a good amount of EXP AFAIR!

I just went through this chapter, and I’m pretty sure there’s about 3 or 4 diamonds between the airship map and the temple’s maps. Also I’m sure you can buy one from the merchant who you save outside the temple.

I’m not positive, but I think it’s from the captain of the Neverwinter forces whom you save from the giants. I think he has a diamond. Also if you want to be evil on this map, you can pick another up from a certain nature loving big wig.
