atribute allocation

Post by o0term0o »

i have a question about atributes, i tried gaurdian and ive tried consular gaurdian seems to be much much easier. when i fight with the gaurdian he just simply hacks everything down with his melee weapons.. however the consular (who has maxed out wisdom) cant damage too well.. with the consular i always find myself having to use tons of grenades and battle stimulants to win fights. the monsters i face always resist my force powers beacuse of this i am forced to fight with melee weapons but whats the point if i could just use my gaurdian to destroy everything with melee.. anyway im just curious what i should put my stats into or a good build for consulars because i love using force powers but its really hard to get anywhere when everythign is resisted and when my melee is under par

you should also have a high charisma, that is pretty improtant for a consular, and also, consulars focus on understanding and what not, Gaurdian, strength... Just use everything but strength and dex, you know stuff like that.

i dont see how people can play through on consular if they have no melee skill cuz as i said even with my really high wisdom which is supposedly how often they can save against your force powers, they still save.. if i had a higher charisma it would be even harder to get any hits in i was thinking of low str high dex low int and high wis and cha

The stats to concentrate on for a counsular are Wis/Char/Con. Dex is nice too for AF and you can take the Weapon Finese; Lightsaber feat to help your combat skills when you have a higher Dex than Str.

i decided on 8 str 14 dex 12 char 12 con and 18 wis as starting stats, you guys think that is good? why do consulars need con as a main stat? i would think wis dex and cha are the most important

Constitution is important for anyone, since it determines which implants you can use. I especially like the one that gives +2 to all attributes, but that requires 18 CON. It also lets you live a little longer when casting your powers. Dark Side consulars are easier to fully rely on force powers, Light Side consulars might want to also have a decent melee skill.

My suggestion for a consular would be 8, 12, 15, 10, 16, 14. Be male, so you get the Handmaiden's feat that will help a lot when you have a high Wisdom.

It is possible to finish the game without using any kind of melee weapons.

The beginning of the game might be a little rough but once you start getting decent force powers, you can just mow right throw enemies.

Its easier to do with a dark side character because you can throw insanity at a group of enemies and then just throw force storm several times until they are dead.

As far as attributes, i agree with what has been said. Focus on wisdom and charisma and constitutuion.

Make sure you end up with armor that doesnt restrict force powers, like the jal shey armor and zieson sha armor.

Yeah, nothing is better than force storm. I find that eventually, you can even get away with not even using insanity or such thing as one or two force storms clear the entire screen most of the time. Let your party mop up the rest if you actually run out of force points, but that's not likely.

You can take weapon master afterwards to work on your melee skills if you want, because by level 15, you'll have most of the force powers you'll ever need, and if you don't, other Jedi can take them for you.

if you have a high wisdom score, its very unlikely that you'll run out of force points. I just finished a consolur/lord game where i had more force points than i would ever need. By the end of the game i had somewhere around 800 force points.

Personnaly i like to use the Force Potency form all the time because it increases damage done by Force powers. Although the powers cost more in the way of force points, this can be overcome by using equioment or lightsaber crystals that give bonuses to force point regeneration.
