Odd Alert suddenly appeared

Post by Magrus »

I suddenly have this odd alert popping up randomly while surfing. Ever since it's stared occuring, the box to the right where you can click on smilies just hasn't worked for me. I uninstalled and reinstalled firefox thinking maybe it had something to do with my browser. I had to ctrl+alt+delete and close it earlier, it froze up on me for some odd reason, after that it started occuring.

I can't for the life of me think of how it's related. By the looks of it is just a stupid thing to an adware or advertisement...something. So I'm running my virus scan to check it out and see if I have something wrong with my system.

NONE of the buttons for this site work though. Bold, quote, center, etc. I'm lost.

The alert says:

"This file /kilpmart/campaigns/sny019/f/sny019_5230.htm?$5230^true^^http://ad.doub
leclick.net/jump/N292 cannot be found. Please check the location and try again."

if that helps.

Any thoughts on what the cause is or why it's happening and how to fix it?

Edit: No viruses, no spyware detected, I've done a system restore to three days ago, and redid my install of my browser to boot and still no change.

I experienced some problems with Maxthon, too... First, it doesn't block the popups it should block, second, the character of the menus are all replaced by little squares as if I was trying to use a Chinese version with no proper character set installed or somenthing...

I love firefox. Except for that one day, I've had no issues with it and I'm pretty sure it was just a fluke with it freezing on me and being shut down improperly. :D
