here is a little trick, that some of u have seen other versions of, conserning skillpoints.

when u have skillpoints to distribute on skills over 101%, best to wait 2 or 3 lvls so u have more to spend,do this first...(also works for the 91% book limit).
Not really usefull in the beginning, of course, but later it is golden....

If u get addicted at any point load ur last saved game and continue from that point

save in a new slot
use mentat
use mentat
save
load
use mentat
use mentat
save
load
use mentat
use mentat

use mentat
use mentat

wait for 18 hours(3*6 hours)
repeate proces with buffouts, wait for 6 more hours, all stats but LUCK will be at "1", this will drag down ur skills dependent on those stats. I have raised sciense (INT 10) to 137 spending 10 skillpoints, the rest was books...
Works best with non tag skills, and high stats.

If u want to do books, remember that outdoorsman and small guns are the book skills that need buffout. And when you are at 90%, with a skill, save as many books as you can before you "dump" your charakter, then read them from your inventory. Time will pass but the stats wont reset untill you exit the inventory.

And if you raise the game difficulty, you'll have less skillpoints when you start boosting.

alcohol works fine too :)

mentats boost intellignse, charisma and perception by 2. the effect will only stack for 2 uses, thats why you need to svae and load every 2 uses. when the illeffects kick in the named stats go down by 3....

buffout affect agility, strenght and endurance the same way.

so the mentat-buffout combination is not really needed, its just that it does all the stats but luck.

the 18 hour wait in the middle is so the mentat illeffeckts start at the same time as the buffouts.

dude i got that t.t

just when u drink alcohol you can spare yourself the save/load time

i think not for strenght and endurance if i am not mistaken but perception and intelligence for sure :P

i have never lost anny inteligense or charisma from the drinks...
sure it would work for a pure perception skill, but there are none.
but it works for lockpickin, agility and perception...

no, thats what i mean... if u do mentats, u loose inteligense, perception AND charisma. as for drinks u only loose perception...
