Stuck (literally) on Peragus (Hanger Bay level)

Stuck (literally) on Peragus (Hanger Bay level) *spoiler

I don't know if this is a bug or not, I am on Peragus and I just brought T3-M4 up to the Fuel Depot level and there is only a fuel control station and 2 doorways that are blocked off by containment fields. After screwing around with the fuel control station, an in-game cut-scene shows my droid getting capped by someone and the screen goes black. I can save my game and when I load it again, I am my main jedi character. Im in the same place on the upper fuel depot level and the doorways are still locked down, the only way to go is back down to the hanger bay level,

Here is the weird part... as soon as I start to walk down the stairs to the docking bay, it goes through its loading sequence, and when it finishes loading, I AM THE DROID AGAIN!? The only difference is that the droid is all sparking and his avatar icon in the lower right of the screen is got a big red X on it. Oh yeah, I cant move either. I cant do anything really. Any ideas?

The screen is supposed to go black and then come right back with you in control of your main character back at the communications blister. It's possible that going to the menu and saving right there was unexpected by the system and caused it to goof up. Unless you have a recent save prior to T3 getting shot, you may have to restart. If you have a recent save, try using the console again and just waiting. You should go back to the blister with a conversation between you and Atton.

I guess you have the developers to thank for shoving it out the door with many many bugs.

I wouldn't blame the developers (i.e. Obsidian). These sorts of decisions are almost always made by the publishers (i.e. Lucas Arts).

Yeah...I got the terms mixed up. I hate it when early releases make the games FUBAR.

Stuck glitch

Yea, i got that glitch too and am playing the game off my hard drive. I am burning the contents of the game onto a dvd-r and will tell you if it works to get past that glitch... i am hoping to be able to still play the game off the hard drive and just boot off the disk during these glitches (if there are more in the game) because i am addicted to the hard drive's faster loading times especially in the KOTOR games with lots of load screens.

What the fu.. are they doing?

Yeah what are they doing? We've waited patiently for seqel ok the had a lot of time to make it ok they made it but what about these damn bug there are every where just as the real bugs (mosquities that kind of stuff). Maybe some pathes will fix this problem? I can get what they are thinking that we are? Some kind of jerks or punks? We're you gamers and we want things in game working smoothly and..... correctly! And dont tell me that I dont have a point!!!!

The game IS a bit buggy, but I'm sure the developers will do their best to patch things up. Anytime you write a very large program there are going to be bugs and no matter how hard you try you can almost never find all of them before you implement the program. You just can't think of every possible combination of choices. I don't think I've even HEARD of a game that came out perfect the first time. So while bugs ARE annoying, I can fully relate to difficulty of finding and fixing them all before going public.

flutter,
In there stepped a stately raven of the saintly days of yore;
Not the least obeisance made he; not a minute stopped or stayed
he;................................
Perched, and sat, and nothing more.

Bugkillers

Then they have to hire proffesional bug killers! They usually have something like Raid oraz ultra-violet lamps and this stuff may kill all the bugs around. I know it may take some time before we can recive Kotor II without any previously found bugs but I think we should wait patiently just like we wait for Kotor II itself. Maybe the time will cure the wounds.

BTW:I dont know any reason but I my homeworld (Poland) there will be no Polish version thats ......unbeliveable and frustrating. I've played Kotor I both polish and english version and I find it easy to understand and translate only problem which I had were Idioms and custom expresions but being patient and using dicionary help with many languages even Chinese and Suahili.

I tried the game with the disc and that "bug" doesnt appear. im pretty sure it was intentionally placed there as a countermeasure to playing the game on the xbox hard drive as most people use the hard drive to play downloaded pirated games.
