Fan issues on my laptop
Well I've noticed lately that during certain games my fan will start to make unusual noises and then my computer shuts off. It sounds like the fan is getting slower then faster and slower and faster etc.... I know it's probably because the thing is old (about 4.5 years) and as soon as I achieve financial freedom I'll get a new one, but that's not happening any time soon. The game I've specifically noticed the fan noises before it shuts down is Lionheart. I've already learned to hit that quicksave key as fast as I can and then alt+F4 out of the program as soon as sounds of trouble appear to avoid losing my game and having my computer shut down. Anyone have any ideas as how I could prevent this from happening?

Buy a new laptop 
Seriously thought it seems to me that you are overworking the poor thing, maybe give it a rest for a bit? If it is 4.5 years old it may be struggling to carry on at your pace.
