Nordom and other party related questions???
Well I'm in Rubikon and presently looking for nordom, but I have a dilemma. I don't know who to drop for him. Presently the party is TNO(Fighter/Mage), Morte, Annah, Fall-From-Grace, Dak'kon, and Ignus. The only two I can't do without are Annah and Fall-From-Grace. The other 3 can be done without. Dak'kon is a very versatile character so I wouldn't mind keeping him around. Ignus can't really do a whole lot aside aside from cast spells. Morte on the other hand is a decent fighter but I'm concerned that I'll miss some story line if I drop him because of the whole business of him not reading all the tattoo on TNO's back. So who should be the first to go?

I traded Ignus for Nordom. Both are essentially ranged fighters, though one does it with magic. And I think the versatility of bolts you can find for Nordom outweighs the narrow band of elemental attacks available to Ignus. Just my POV.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
This was a dilemma for me also.
What I did was leave the maze and 'drop' a character in the Brothel. It took a little more time, but I didn't want to risk losing anyone permanantly.
As for who to choose, well, that is up to you. It was not easy for me to drop someone either. I tell who I dropped if you'd like. It sounds like you have an idea of who to drop besides.

Well I followed your path Fable and dumped Ignus. I forgot to unload him before I got rid of him so I ended up killing him for all the stuff he was carrying. I figured I made the right choice in that he's a much better ranged fighter than Ignus and I've got TNO and Dak'kon for the spell slinging. I'd still like to know who you dumped wayfarer.

The one character I have never, ever used in PS:T was that walking suit of armor whose name escapes me (you can see how much I care about his loss from my party). He's apparently the perfect tank, but I think they added him in too late in the game to really matter. By that time, I'd gotten pretty attached to my current party.

I dropped Morte for Vhailor. A walking talking suit of mercykiller armour is better than a jabbering skull who's only weapons are his teeth. But Nordom is definately better than Ignus, and I haven't had Vhailor long enough to determine if he's better then Morte. And I think HK-47 from KOTOR was modeled after Nordom, only slightly evil.

Well this is my first time through and I wanna give everyone a shot to see who I do and don't like. And the only person I could think to dump for Vhailor was Morte. So far the oly one who's pretty much useless and that I'm eager to get rid of when it comes to takin on a new 6th party member is Ignus. The rest all have their good points.

No knock on you at all, Skuld, just a general statement.
I must assume that every one that posted in this thread is male.
Why is it so hard to drop any of the ladies?

That was my answer fable. And now for a spoilerish note on Vhailor for anyone who hasn't used him yet. At the Pillar of Skulls if you ask them who you are then Vhailor will also find out who you are and torn hostile because you're the one he spent his entire life searching for apparently. Or something to that effect. Luckily I had the autosave. Another note on Vhailor is that his weapon is cursed and it's the only one you can have him use, which is kind of a drag. But with a few armour enhancing rings he makes a pretty hefty tank. The MVP in my party though is defiantely Nordom hands down. I wish I could rename him as Johnny 5. He almost almost handedly cleaned out all of Baator one abisai(sp?) at a time, shoot-shoot-run-repeat(thanks to his infinite arrows). I had no other choice because I couldn't rest, had no healing charms, Grace was spent on spells, and every one was at relatively low health.

I'd definitely drop Ignus to take Nordom.
I've also never taken Vhailor, as my personal philosophy can't stomach him and I just can't throw anyone else away.
SPOILERS question. If you leave Ignus in the cube and then reform it, he'll be wiped off the face of the planes, right? Then, if you're good, would Vhailor be summoned instead of Ignus by TTO?

If nothing we do matters, then all that matters is what we do.
Spoiler I dropped Ignus in the cube for Nordom, nut didn't reform it. I assumed just leaving anyone in there would seal their fate. I was good and still had to fight Ignus. Also looking at the other axes in the game Vhailor happened to get cursed with the best one. Set him up with some AC enhancing items and he makes a mean tank. Really high HP.

I've never used Vhailor in any of my games, mostly because he turns up too late (and the first few times through I missed him completely, since he is positioned behind something).
Is he actually worth it? Does he have any cool NPC interactions? Or is he just a pain in the nostrils?
My parties always turn out to be TNO, Morte, Annah, Nordom, Dak'kon and Fall-From-Grace. Ignus also bugs me (and I never liked how he turned on you at the end).
Cheers,
TGHO

Well Vhailor does have some interesting backstory, although I'm not sure as to the whole of it(never thought to read his character info). Read my spoiler on the first page regarding the Pillar of Skulls. He does have, in my opinion, the best axe in the game. So with the proper jewelry he's a killing machine.
