Barbarian Damage Reduction

Post by Raumoheru »

you get damage reduction, you can take epic damage reduction, and you get epic barbarian damage reduction.

do these all stack? if so how much damage reduction does it come out to at lvl 40 and where can we see how much there is?

Yes, it all stacks. I think you end up with about 20/- damage reduction overall, but I'm not 100% sure.

The manual should detail all of this, and if you lack that, check out the SRD, which you can find here:

IIRC it doesn't stack, it chooses the best. I think they have to be of a similar type to stack i.e. 5/+5 stacks with 15/+5 but not 2/-.

If you are a Fighter/ Dwarven defender, you can gain a Damage Reduction of 30/-

21/- from the Dwarven Defender's DR and 9/- from the epic damage reduction feat.

As far as I am aware, the Barbarian damage reduction, Epic Barbarian damage reduction and the Feat Epic Damage reduction are all in the format x/-, which means that they all stack.

So your 40th lvl Barb should have around 20/- IIRC (I can't recall the exact numbers Barbs get, sorry).

Yes, they DO stack!

I had the Damage Reduction 3 feat and then chose the Epic Dmg reduction later on with my barb/fighter/CoT and they did stack.
