Will Oblivion's AI Engine be outdated when it comes out?

Post by Rookierookie »

I've seen reviews of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadows of Chernobyl, and from its website, the AI engine seems quite similiar to what Bethesda is promising us. It seems to be on a smaller scale, but if a game coming out in 2005 has an AI as good as a game from 2007, Oblivion may once again have a much criticized AI.

What do you think?

So you think Oblivion will be released in 2007? From what I read it's more likely to be end 2005 or begin 2006. If it is released in 2005 (or a bit later) I don't think the AI will be criticized.
