fable -- EVERYONE READ THIS

Post by leeman_s »

I'm tired of this dude. To see what im saying, read the topic called XP. To fable-->>You stupid idiot. You think you're all cool, with some gay name. You go around acting as if you're superior to everyone else just because your life revolves around baldurs gate and you know all about the game. Earth to fable! Get a life, for heaven's sake! You think you're the baldurs gate message board police or something! Oh no, i stole somebody's topic. Oh no, i didnt do a search. Oh no, im doing these all new lows. If you really want to be a help, why don't you lay off a little. Worry about yourself! If the topic starter has a problem with me asking a different question, then he'll tell me! And its really annoying when you post replys that just say i did something wrong in your opinion. Now whos on my side! Come on guys, VOTE FOR ME OR VOTE FOR FABLE! --and for your information i was asking a question about xp which was the topic name.

Don't you guys think you could take this to a private message. This board has to do with BG2 not you and Fable.

As I put in the other thread, don't start trouble like this L. It's only result will end up with Buck baning you from the forum. If you have a problem with Fable (and it seems your the only one) take it up with him, and only him. We don't need another Bannedbaasie tarnishing this sites reputation.

wow, i already vote for him. In 5 mins of my life which i first entered this board (good one, btw)

Well, first of all, you start mumbling and babbling about a lot that has nothing to do with the real reason on why you're flaming him, saying he's got a gay name and his whole life revolves around BG (mine does, for the moment :) )

I think you are either drunk off of your ass, or just have a short temper, or both. I vote for fable.

Oh btw, fable, just let him give a new question if he wants to.

This is not how problems are solved, L. Keep it up and you'll probably not be welcome any more.

On a personal note, i would like to see more tolerance towards newbies. Some people who come here have never used a message board before. I was one of them. There are a lot of unspoken rules. Furthermore, the search function doesn't work very well. Should you have a modem, I guess it would sometimes take ages to perform a search and then check all topics for a possible answer. Finally, I think it's better to discuss the same questions once more than not discuss at all. There is always someone new to comment on an old subject.

Well, Fable does come across as a little prissy at times, perhaps even pedantic I have to admit; but he's clearly a very intelligent individual who loves the BG Series a lot. Nobody seems to mind when a sports freak drives 20 hours to see his "home" team play in Green Bay or something; I don't see why somebody that is equally involved in BGI, BGII, BGII etc. should be viewed as a weirdo or "needing a real life."

I'm absolutely positive Fable reads books more often than he watches television (from various astute references he has made in the past) so -- hey, lay off. It's his life, and I bet if everyone in the world did as Fable did -- there would be a lot less nastiness. And a lot more reading. And a LOT more video games!

I agree with Red Inquisition. If you (or any members) have a problem with particular members, use Private Message or email. And if that wouldn't solve the problem, send email to Buck or moderators. Whether you are right or not, creating a new topic in order to attack one person is out of order, and can put other members off.

L, if you think you'll gain support with a post like this, it may be wise to think again...

At the very least, when telling people to use the search function, try it out yourself to see if it turns up results that easily ;)

I've referred the matter onto Buck.

The search function is cumbersome as it takes a pretty long while to load (for me, at least ).I think a better way would be to just post your answer to the newbie's question(or you can post a link to the thread that contains the answer to his/her question ).If you're irritated about the same questions being asked over and over again, then just skip it, and let someone else answer the question. It's not like the world will blow up if you'd skipped a thread or two. There's also plenty of other members who know the answer, so 'telling newbies to use the search option' should only be used as an advice after you give him what he wants to know.

{For those who keep telling newbies to use the search option, aren't you repeating yourself? :p )

Sorry for the rant :) .I'm not for or against anyone :) .Just tired of flames starting because of something as silly as this :)

Oh my God! What has this forum become? Some place for individuals to attack other individuals? My God! Our goal here is to discuss about Baldur's Gate II because we all love the game. We shouldn't be attacking other people. So I agree with Red Inquisition, let's keep our opinions to ourselves.
