I seldom use scrolls and don't have access to the game where I'm sitting, but it should be fairly simple: Open up the inventory where you have the scroll, left-click on the scroll (like when you "grab" something) and then rightclick on the picture of your torpored friend (the picture at the bottom of the screen).
If it doesn't work, try right-click on the scroll and then left-click on your friend.
Or why not train each spell in the Common-group one step. Somewhere close to the bottom of that list you should have that torpor-revival, plus the nifty portal-to-haven spell. Both are very nice to have.

Simply leftclick on the scroll so it becomes attached to your mousecursor, then hold it over your coteriemember who's in torpor, then leftclick again to revive him. But like said in the previous post, it's better to have it in your spellbook, it's one of the first things i do, get a ressurection spell and one of Walk the Abbys.

just like it has already been said, click in the scroll with the lft button and then right click the torpored ally's portrait or body.
