Insect Plague

Is there any way to counter this all-powerful spell (besides being a lich!)I know it's almost never used against you, but when it is it's so frickin lame!

Well there is the all purpose Dispell and I've recently read in a Funniest Moments post where players just ran away from the approaching swarm.

You can dispel it?! Really?? I never even thought of trying that. After all, you can't dispel summoned monsters, so I didn't think you could dispell insects. Too bad you can't dispel them if you're already under attack.

The right kind of Spell Immunity (probably Conjuration) will probably do the job.

Thanks for the responses, guys. I'm wondering if I should still use the spell myself...if it starts ruining battles, then I'll file it away.

I'm sure I've seen the insects dispersed by auras around a few enemy mages, like the one down in the catacombs under the Temple District. My guess is Protection Against Magic will do.
