Reduced movement speed problem

Post by Rathamon »

I'm on chapter 2 and am currently in the troll caves (the part where your looking for a book for an archeologist)

Something happened to give me reduced movement speed, and it doesnt seem to go away..

I've tried everything

Antidote potions , cure potions , resting , leaving the game running for a while , I even went back to the temple to get healed

but it always stays there and I dont fancy spending the rest of the game moving at a snails pace...

any ideas?

I am patched up to version 1.62 I believe

I'm having the same problem, except it's not because I was carrying too much. I tried carrying too much and then reducing the load to below what I can carry, and the icon signaling decreased movement went away, but the effect didn't--I'm still moving at a snail's pace everywhere. It allows me to run, but it's like in slow motion. Any ideas?

2 things might low your speed:
1) you was cursed and you speed decreased or your STR decreased causing overload and speed decreased.
2) you by accident presed hotkeys that activated search-mode or stealth mode. highliting of thouse things are implemented not in best way for eyes...

Another possibility (that has happened to me many times) is that you're so used to having haste on that either its been dispelled, or you've been slowed or something.
"Heya! Have you been to Baldur's Gate? I've been to Baldur's Gate... Oops, stepped into something. Have you stepped into something?"
