Like the subject says folks... I have a Diplomatic Pass (two actually...) and Captain whatsit at the bridge says it's all fine when I speak to him, but then the gate stays locked, and I can see no way to proceed.
Am I stoopid? ...or is this a bug?
Host Tower Gate stays locked even with Pass :/
I think it is a bug... I've looked at forums all over the place.
I did find someone with the same problem on the Bioware forums, but their thread was locked after they were palmed off onto the fix for the pinnacle gate of the host tower (known issue 25 I think). I'm assuming they just haven't played the game since then!
My version is 1.62.8047
Fully patched I believe.
XP Pro, 1.5GB Ram, P4 2.53 GHz, Radeon 9000 AGP...

I also tried a quick search on the bioware forums for this bug, but couldn't find anything either, when I posted before
Currently - I only see few ways out then.
Try from an earlier save, and replay to see if the door is still locked. (might be boring though).
Or this might be possible if you want to give it a shot.
Back up the module, open it in the toolset and remove the locked tag on the door, and play through.
After finishing the module, then replace it again with the backup.
The file in question are placed in the nwn folder of your game root folder (so for instance x:\games\neverwinter\nwn if games\neverwinter is where you installed).
Back up the file. Rename the file (not the backup) to .mod and place in the module folder. Open the tool set and open the .mod file there. Find the relevant door and get to see its proberties, and remove the locked tag. Rename it back to .nwm and place it back.
See if the door is open.
However this holds a few traps - and I'm not 100% sure of the plausibility of this "venture". It could corrupt your savegame with that module - that is entiere chapter 2 - or it could work like a charm.
This is about the best I can advice.
You could also try and contact bioware (support), and seeing if they have advice (although I would guess they advice you to restart the module/game and see if it occurs again).

Same problem with Host Tower Gate staying locked
I too have the same problem. I am playing in Multiplayer mode. We both have purchased our own individual games. And I believe we have all of the latest patches, but I will check.
So I tried unlocking the door using the toolset, but when I rebuild, there are missing resources. The module finally rebuilds and I can run the game, but the door is still locked. I even tried the whole process and removed the door. Door is still there.
What might I be doing wrong with the rebuild?
Thanks, spikette
