Would sure make selection of offhand weapon pretty useless except for passive stat and buff bonuses..
Is this the case?
Does the extra attack figure in the offhand weapon stats/bonuses etc. , Or do you just swing faster with the mainhand?

Absolutely true: the off-hand weapon gets you only 1 extra attack, so it's better to choose a weapon with a nice equiped effect (if you're powergaming
)

Ok so the actual damage or + factor or whatever matters not, you just swing an extra time with the mainhand weapon?
See, instead of having you make an extra attack, with the stats applied to that attack from your offhand weapon, you're saying that the offhand doesn't do *anything* at all other than the equipped abilities, correct?
