How slower is multi?
How much slower is multiplayer than singleplayer...I'm an impatient guy

Although i don't think loading times is gonna make me solo a blade instead of doing the rogue tagteam im considering...
If I 've understood your intents, this is
what you're going to do:
Start your multiplayer game, and create the
two chars.
Watch the initial sequence, until the game
autosaves, and you take control.
You can save yourself, anyway, quit the game,
and copy the savegame (multi) in the directory of single-player savegames.
(directory simply named "save")
Then reload (from single player) and you have
a single player game with your two chars!
As long as you don't reform party, no problems in my experience.
