hotu:trouble completing task

I'm having trouble completing the task to free the Keeper of Names. I fought through the waves of demon warriors but now the Guardian won't show up so I can defeat him. Everytime I go to the catapult it says the battle is still raging and I can't use the catapult. I go back to the Ice Prison and nothing is there. No Guardian to fight. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Turn into the Earth Elemental and use the catapult. THat should help.

I guess I should have mentioned that I couldn't do anything with the catapult even as an earth elemental. I figure even in the beginning of that area that I would need to to transform. Even as a Earth Elemental it still says the same thing. Thanks for the help though! I've also updated and gotten two new patches but they haven't solved the problem either. I guess I'll just have to start over. bummer!
