dumb newbie question

There is a series of quests where you find an item and give it to one of the henchmen for a reward. How do you give the item to the henchman? I talk to them but they never mention the items, and if I click and drag the item to them, nothing happens --- thanks

Continue talking to your henchmen as you level up, and they will continue their story.

Once their story is "told" they will tell you that they are looking for this and that item. Once you find the item you will get another convesation option where you can hand them the item.

So just keep talking as you level up. Or if you have leveled up several times before talking to them, you can talk several times.

Each level up in a chapter (with henchmen quests) will give you another dialog option - so you don't have to have them in your party as you level up. You can level up, dumb your current henchman, take another and talk to him. This way you can do all the henchmen quests for some pretty nifty items.

Don't you have to finish the chapter one quests while you are still in chapter one though? I am a level 5 sorcerer/ level 3 red dragon disciple, and so far none of the henchmen has even mentioned any items that they want. I am down to the last creature in chapter one.

each henchman will complete their tale in about 4 parts. when u have done so, your journal should list that the item is desired by that character. simply ask about his/her tale again, and the option to give the item should be there, when u have the item in your inventory.

edit: in a way, there is necessity to finish the chpater 1 quest for a henchman within the chapter iteself, as the items are removed from your inventory once you leave the chapter...

Yes - chapter one henchmen quests can only be done in chapter one.

I can not remember the quests dialog by heart, but what is the last thing Daelan has said to you? (should be in your jounal)

I ended up turning in the stuff to make the cure, and from there I never could finish the quests. I did save the game just before I turned in the stuff. I went back to that spot to see what Daelen had told me. I only had the first part of the story. I went and talke to him again and got two more parts and finished the quest. So now I it looks like I can finish them all, but I will have to do the whole end of chapter one over again. Oh well, live and learn. :>)
