Bugs so what!?!

Post by xenostudd »

Way back in 1999 I picked up a copy of MCV magazine and read an article about an upcoming RPG game called Baldur's Gate. This game was TSR's (WotC) next approach in developing an RPG computer game. I bought the game and after that I was hooked on RPG games mainly D&D style. Since then, RPG's have come along way. TOEE, has got to be the greatest D&D RPG I've ever played. The actual game looks real and so do the sprites. The detail to 3.5 rules with little technicalities is amazing. I feel that Trokia did an awesome job with the game. Now when I sit down and DM my weekly game, I have more of an idea on how to incorporate the 3.5 rules to my game. It’s safe to say that I use this game as a reference to 3.5 rules. Trokia has made it possible to do this. So to all you lamers complaining about the bugs in this game, so what!! A patch is coming, be happy all ready…Rock on Atari and Trokia!!! :D

@Xenostudd, first of all, welcome to GameBanshee. I hope you'll enjoy your time spent, here. If you any questions, feel free to ask.

Second, please familiarize yourself with the forum rules, here. The site owner insists that his rules be followed on his board. Abide by 'em, and have fun.

As regards your comments: drop the "lamers" stuff. People are entitled to have different opinions based on their own, unique experiences; and provided they have a sound basis for factual comparison, they can all be correct while contradicting one another--such is the stuff of opinions, after all. Most players seem in agreement that the graphics and combat engine are good. Criticisms arise concerning the roleplaying elements, quests, and general bugginess of TOEE. I've seen a four-page list of the bugs. That's not a matter of opinion: it definitely is one of the buggiest games to be issued by a major PC-based computer game company in a very long time.

So it would seem that, depending on whether you prefer combat or roleplaying, graphics or quests, and various other factors, your mileage out of TOEE will vary. Don't like people disagreeing with you? Welcome to life, in all its infinite and fascinating variety. Good thing we do all disagree, too, or the earth would be a very dull old place. ;)
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
