Mighty (bows)

Post by Dhameon »

what exactly is this? im rather confused because a composite +3 bow has 3 attack and 5 mighty, yet a bow like the taralash has 4 attack and 4 mighty. does anyone know what exactly it does?should i stick with a 4/4 bow or go with a 5/2? (about longbows, i dont know shortbows but i think they have mighty also). is there some kind of formula that someone can share?

The Mighty modifier, I believe, allows your strength modifier to be included in the arrow damage.

That is correct.
+4 Mighty means that you will add your strenght modifier up to and including 4, to the damage of your attack.

So for instance if you have +3 str. modifier, you will add +3 damage.

Wether or not to change bows, well - I'd say it depends on your characters strenght. If he has less then 4 and is never supposed to get to 4 (18 strenght I belive) I'd, I'd go for the less mighty and better attack, because if your character - for instance had 16 str ( a +3 modifier) the last +1 mighty point is wasted.
