petrified

Post by bloo582 »

Damnation. Another simple question. My thief has been petrified by a door trap. Where do I find a cure petrification scroll in this game/or is there a lower level spell that works. My mage can only access level 5 and lower spells.

The game really wants you to just avoid petrification in the first place. The spell Protection from Petrification is a level 1 spell, but if you let yourself get petrified, the game becomes quite unforgiving as the Stone to Flesh spell is all the way up to a level 6. Although I can't give you the exact location for stone to flesh scrolls, I'm sure someone else can. But what I can give you is that stone to flesh is one of the special abilities on the ring of earth control, which you get fairly early on (if you decided to take on the quest) in the de'Arnise keep.

You could also go to a temple, and deal with the problem, there.

If only it weren't for the fact that petrified chars can't be moved, that is.

Ah, here is something tricky. Like they all say, there is a Stone to Flesh scroll laying around somewhere. However, a relitivley easy was to do it is, drop the petrified character, get Anomen, get the scroll, then do it from there. Thats how I did it.

They can't be moved, but that means that they will still be there when you come back. I left Minsc and Valygar petrified for a couple of days (the latter in the planar sphere) and they were both fine.

Exactly. Leave 'em behind, go to the temple, fetch the Stone to Flesh scroll, and hurry back. Shouldn't even take more than a daypart, if you're lucky.
