Bal Molagmar
Bal Molagmar
Hi there,
Where can I find the Bal Molagmar? I hear they are an independant Thieves Guild, but I can't find them.
Can anybody tell me where to find them? Thanks in advance.
Oh yeh, I'm new... Hi. /me waves

SPOILERS AHEAD
The Bal Molagmar is not a faction, but a special series of quests given you by Gentleman Jim Stacey. You can complete them only before becoming head of the Thieves' Guild.

There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...
What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

No, you can do those quests - just don't ask for advancement.

The point is, that you get the quests only from Gentleman Jim; when you replace him as head of the Thieves Guild, he disappears. I know not if there's a lower limit to your leveling in order to be eligible for these quests, but you certainly must be able to pass a 50 level lock.

Are these quests 'good'?
Is there any point to the bal molagmar quests? It seems like there is not too much reward and that they are just for fun?
What do you think?

Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.

The point is that they are a sort of "Robin Hood" organisation... so you can feel good about stealing something
Or that is my take anyway. I actually enjoy those quests, I would have liked to see them expanded.

yeah I like their existence too. I think they are cool, and perhaps by that time I will have enough loot that I can still train and things without getting rewards.
I just glanced at them to see if they conflicted with other guilds and noticed that there wasn't much reward and that gave me pause.

By the time I get to the BM quests I'm rich enough to not notice awards. In Morrowind you don't particularly need money anyway. You find all of your stuff so in the end most of the quests you do are for the pure fun of it.

Not only that, but there is something to be said for the importance of the journey as a whole, as opposed to just the end destination.
I definitely wish there was a mod out there that expanded the Bal Molagmar quests though... *hint* *hint*
