Marek and Lothander Problem

I've talked to Marek and Lothander in BG NE. I've talked to Lothander in BG Middle, and he's warned me of the poisoning and the 10 days to live. I killed Jalantha and her priests, and have the geas removal scroll. Problem, Lothander is not on the 2nd floor of the Blade and Stars and Marek is not in the Blushing Mermaid tavern. What's the problem here? If I can't find Lothander to remove his gaze and get his half of the antidote, and I can't find Marek to get the other, I'll have to reload and redo almost all of the BGate quests again. Please adivse?

Seems I've answered my own question. Lothander will stand by the fortune teller's tent unless you talk to him 2 times. I went back and found him hanging around. Could've been I neglected to talk to him the first time I left the diviner's tent, don't remember, did too many quests in between. Anyway, he left and was at the Blade and Stars, and Marek was in place as well. From an experienced gamer like me...that was something I should've thought of, and a pretty lame question to waste your time on.

Not really a waste; it may help others not to make the same mistake.

SPOILERS:

The first time I played the game, I had something similar happen. I talked to the diviner before talking to Lothander. Then I found out about the curse, but couldn't complete the quest since I had wasted my question previously. Then I compounded the error by trying to pick L's pocket and, failing, wound up killing him.

Fortunately, the curse takes 10 days to work which is more than enough time to finish the game, if you don't delay.
