I'm using Internet Explorer 6.0, and Win 98 First Edition (why update? Works fine for me) and am getting an annoying thing with IE. Whenever I open a new window from a webpage (so I'm on GB for example, and I want to open a new window for each thread) instead of the window appearing, I just get the blue topbar. I have to double click to maximise it.
What I'd like to have is the window opened fully maximised. Any suggestions?
(I know this is petty, but I hate it!)

This may not work for you, but try opening the new window. Then re-size it to an acceptable size (but don't maximise it). Then close all of your IE Windows. When you restart IE, new windows should open up at the same size as the window you re-sized then closed.
