Interesting Possible Bug

In the docks district, there was a trap on the door (turned out to be a negative energy ray). Tomi gave his "Errrm, no can do" , so I saved, went to open the door, then Tomi says "Hold up there!", cuts in front of me, tries to disable the trap and gets zapped, completely dissappears. Of course my journal says to go back to the Temple of Tyr to pick him up, but when I go he's not there. Left and came back, still not there. Ended up started back where I saved and everything was then okay. Anybody else have this happen?
