Where's the next (second) shopkeeper?

Post by cjdevito »

Without spoiling it for anyone, for various reasons I can no longer shop with George in Aleron. I've wandered now through bits of the farmlands, the blue boar inn, and the dward bread inn.... and I still haven't found anyone else who sells armor/weapons. Anyone able to point me in the right direction?

If you want a ready supply of arms, go on the quest suggested by that lordly type you meet at the gate of the village. He'll send you to a military barracks where the general in charge will offer you free access to all the armor and weapons she has in stock. Most of the stuff is very heavy, but much of it is quite good for young characters, too, and you can always put away for later sale whatever you don't really need.

Already did that :) Hit claymore heaven and got a good helmet, but no other real armor.

I haven't found anybody else at this point, either--remember, I just got the game, and I'm also busy with other matters (read: work). At least ;you can sell the stuff. It's easy to get money in this game.

Okay,, found the next town full of shops. Rivertown, red flag on your map (don't recall who puts it there, though) marked 'merchants area'. It's in the northeast area of the zoomed out starting map, northeast of the barracks, north northeast of stormfist, north of the dwarf village. All I can say is thank jeebus, merchants with money and items worth buying :)

Neat. Thanks, I'll check it out.

BTW, there's some farmer N-NW of the Blue Boar Inn who had a Summon Skeleton book for sale. I went once, didn't have the cash, and didn't think to use the teleporter stone (duh!) to jump back to the bed and trunk where I had all my unneeded superfluous goods stored. Can't find him again, but I'm sure he's around.

Ars Magicana

once you have completed the aleroth quests you can cross over the bridge and keep to the edge of the map by the river, when you come to the house get the key from the hay put the bed from the house into your inventory, and get the rings in the hatch.
Continue goind round the top of the screen, the monsters yopu find will not be too hard, when you get to the road follow it down to Ars Magicana, all the shops you need.

Talk to Melville and when Kistandalius comes out go into the shops back room and get the daager from the chest near the door, and the spell book, this is your only oportunity unless you kill him, and the dagger is usually very good :D
