Windows XP and IE6

Post by Mr Flibble »

Something odd I've noticed on XP on both my home PC and at work is occasionally if I refresh IE, or link to a new page, I get sent to a page I've previously been to instead of the page I requested. Emptying the internet cache solves the problem for a few weeks.

I have seen this happen on a couple of customers systems as well, and Microsoft have not mentioned it anywhere. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

You can press Ctrl+F5 which is more than the normal refresh. I have had similar issues but I don't run XP, in fact I used to get it with IE5.5, it can also be related to how ones ISP runs their service.
