Executioner: so what is your last request?
Prisoner: just a clean death, so could you test the axe on my bonds
Executioner: Hmmm, all right.

Maybe that's exactly what he liked about her.Originally posted by Firinflablaze
kill the silver dragon, you get a scroll that lets you out.
By the way, what makes you hesitate before killing the egoistical seductress phaere? I couldn't wait, after she treated me like dirt under her feet.
You can just give the real dragon eggs to the Silver dragon without participating in the ritual.

Spoiler (sort of)
I say that you should do the evil path......Sacrifice the eggs to the demon (hee hee hee hee) then kill the entire drow city and then kill that bossy old dragon (it's one of the funnist fights in the game). that's the evil path that I do all of the time....better yet tell the matron mother that Phaere wants to betray her (of course she will kill her) but still that's the most evil path.
Remember, being Evil in Baldur's Gate 2 is VERY fun...

I met to say fun not funny, (it is very fun for me) and for killing the dragon you got 24,000 XP, once you return to the dragon you get 78,500 XP if you did the good path. I honestly have no idea how much XP you get in the city but since I'm at level 40 by then from soloing I no longer care since I like that path since it's fun...(insert evil smile here). I like doing the evil path. soon I'll have postedin the TOB section all of evil acts that my soloing Swashbuckler did from SOA to TOB which includes sacrificing the eggs to the demon. and
spoiler about what you can do in egg quest
I also told the matron mother about Phaere's plan to betray her and got Phaere killed. after all that's the most evil thing that you can do for that quest. It's even listed in the Versus guild book that I looked up the XP amounts from.

I've never actually tried this, but couldn't you just leave through the exit just south of the deep gnome bridge(providing that you know where it is), or does that exit only appear after completion of the quest?

No, they seal the city up. You could do it before you give them the eggs.
