Post by hwttdz »

I cannot talk to Jan in the government district it just says Jan has nothing to say. Is there any fix for this?

people saying that is a common TOB bug, I got a patch from somewhere to fix that but I'm not sure where it was from, look up something like "Baldur's Gate 2 Throne of Bhaal Patches" since TOB must be installed for such a bug to happen.

Move your curser over him and press

Cntrl +Q

This forces him into your party...

You may not then get his quest, becouse this method might not allow the timer to trigger

I've never heard of that, ctrl + Q, but Q does quicksave are you sure that it works. also the better idea would be to find a patch since other people won't talk to you to, shop keepers won't sell to you and some quests will be undoable from important people refusing to talk.

Edit: nevermind it works and you can get townpeople to join you as well...and dragons (but BG2 took me out of the game soon after that dragon joined me).
